How do I burn a music CD to another CD in XP?

I can't seem to get Win XP to burn a copy of a music CD. I
have checked the FAQ on Microsoft.com and I've even looked
in Windows XP:Inside and Out by Microsoft Press and
neither comes close to explaining how to do it. Everywhere
I've looked they explain how to burn files, MP3s, and
pictures to a CD but they never explain how to make
dulpicates of music CDs. I have tried dragging the
contents of a music CD to my burner drive but all I get
are unusable shortcuts.
Is it possible to do within XP? or Do I have to buy third
party software?
Can anyone help?
