I learned of this from an item in this Monday's "Lockergnome" newsletter. It relates to a class-action lawsuit entitled "In re:Compact Disc Minimum Advertised Price Antitrust Litigation." Anyone living in the U.S. who bought recorded music between 1995 and 2000 is apparently eligible to sign up as a member of the "settlement group." According to the author of the Lockergnome item: "All you have to do is go to the Music CD Settlement Web site, answer three questions, and then fill in your contact information. Took me less than five minutes. The settlement payouts per person can vary from $5 to $20 depending on how many people take part in the settlement." The deadline is soon: "Claim Forms must be filed electronically or signed and postmarked no later than March 3, 2003." http://www.musiccdsettlement.com/english/default.htm Regards, Ian.
