What classic video game music do you think would be appropriate to burn on a CD? I ask because I've burned two so far, and each time I do I find another bit of music I wish I'd known about or been able to include. My criteria are: 1) Must be a nice, catchy tune. No repetive dun-dun-DUN-dun (e.g. Donkey Kong). The music from Moon Patrol is borderline. I made it something worthwhile by including the start off music, about three rounds of the background music, and then the end of course music. 2) Must be long enough be worth listening to. The half-time music from Pac-Man is nice, but it's so short it's hardly worth bothering with. What I currently include on my CD is Pitfall II (actually Cracker's very long techno mix), "Peter Gunn" from Spy Hunter, the aforementioned Moon Patrol, three selections from Mappy (regular board, bonus round, and high score), and Gyruss. (I've also got the original Pac-Man Fever tracks on there. However, I own both the original album and the new one, so I'm not pirating, merely using my right to copy it to a different format. And no, I won't give you a copy.) The thing I'd like to add at the moment is the music from Metro-Cross. Peter Packrat might also be nice, but I'm uncertain how to get a clean copy of the muxis since it doesn't seem to have a test screen where you can play the sounds. Also considering "Louie, Louie" from the 2600 version of Califonia Games, but it may be too short. So what other classics, either console or arcade, have nice catchy music? -- Lee K.
