Boonton Monthly Music Festival's music was a Sound of Music success The initial program of the monthly series arrested the attention of shoppers who benefitted by bargains at the Sidewalk sales and were ecstatic at the wide rep presented and the balmy, cum breeze weather. Saturday August 23rd is the next event. Those interested in participating, whatever music format, style, size of group, language, instrument, musicians and dancers, a-cappella ensembles, all of the performing artists are welcome to write to me, sending promos and CDs or audiocassettes of your performances. Videos, if yiou have them, are the most convincing. Variety, no two simillar groups will be performing at the same event, unless their individuality supercedes their music genre. Each presentation is scheduled for cameo length of one half hour. The act considered the most audience attracting, by ballot, will be given a paid indoor venue. Obviously, although I will be performing on each performance day, as coordinating host and performer, I am not to be considered for the paid full performance indoor event. Every "cultuiral" organization needs a central juggler to toss up the most exciting diversied fare. That is my position now.
