CMT-branded music compilations slated for release this fall The first series of CMT-branded Country music compilations will be released this fall under a partnership between Capitol Nashville, CMT and EMI Music Marketing. "CMT Presents Most Wanted Vol. 1" will be released on EMI's Capital Nashville label, and EMI and CMT plan to release three CMT CDs in the next 12-18 months. Marketing of the album will include a national concert tour featuring Rascal Flatts, Chris Cagle and Brian McComas, a DRTV campaign and radio promotion. "This partnership is the result of the new strategic focus we have at EMM, which is all about aligning our business to better serve today's changing retail environment and putting greater emphasis on the consumer and customer base," says Phil Quartararo, executive vice president, EMI Music North America. "CMT is having great success and EMM and Capitol Nashville were natural partners to help CMT extend its brand. We'll combine EMI's "NOW!" expertise, Capitol Nashville's great artists and relationships, and the power of the CMT brand within the reach of its network."
