The music we grow up with stays with us. I was born in the 40's. Both my parents were musicians. Mom played piano and dad was a singer so I was listening to live music from day one. The pop music at that time was jazz. As I grew country music became as popular as jazz and I enjoyed 'Ol Hank as much as Sachmo. The pop radio stations of the early 60's played it all. Jazz, country, blues, R&B and rock. There was no distinction between the styles. You could hear Brubeck, Hank, BB and Duane one after another. In my teen years I was listening to it all and I liked most of it. So for me I grew up with all types of music. It is a shame that everything today is catagorized. Pt
