Hello, friends. I heard a very nice new piece for solo bassoon while in
Rio this week, the Sonatina by the younger (thirty-something) composer
Alexandre Schubert. It was performed by Elione Medeiros, professor of
bassoon at the University of Rio, at a concert of new music by the
collaborative Preludio XXI. If you are interested in getting a copy of the
score for your bassoonist colleagues, you can contact Alexandre at
