Any new music meccas?

This is a little off the usual subject but are there any new music meccas
out there like Vegas was 10 years ago or Boulder was back in the early
1970's? I want to escape from the Atlanta music scene and move somewhere
nice but cheap where I can find my usual work as a guitar player or as
fledgling producer/ asst. engineer. Peace
