For all the misconceptions there are about deejaying, I think it did a good job of explaining the phenomenon from a hip-hop point of view. It's a documentary movie, after all, and as such geared towards a larger audience than just the insiders. Personally, to say it with the hip-hop=girl-that-you-love metaphor, I read it like a declaration of love for hip-hop coming from someone (the DJ) who may love different aspects about HER, but loves HER just as much.
