> guru rhymes nigga and figga for christs sake. but this dude > get praised I can't understand why people _always_ criticize rappers when they rhyme nigga with figure or jigga or trigger. It's never irked me at all. It's like a classic hip hop banality. Off the top some MC's who've rhymed nigga with figure, jigga or trigger, most more than once, yeah Guru's done it, Slick Rick's done it, Q-Tip's done it, Raekwon's done it, Big L's done it, Cube's done it, Prodigy's done it, Biggie's done it, Kool G Rap's done it, Posdnuos's done it, Jay-Z's done it, Big Boi's done it, DJ Quik's done it, Ras Kass's done it, Schoolly D's done it, Busta's done it, Ice-T's done it, Chuck D's done it, Erick Sermon's done it... I love alladem. Obviously there's a lot more, and I'm not even thinking about taking into account inner rhymes, or those who rhyme typical -iggas like bigga, trigga, figga with no niggas; trigga/bigga/figga alone would blow the -igga list up to include 95% of all dope rappers. I'm also not taking into account those who rhyme niggas with niggas, or people like Willie D or Dr Dre and a lot of gangsta rappers. I think Tim Dog also had a way too funny -igga rhyme scheme on his first LP, possibly the funniest of all time. The wonderful world of -iggaisms. Nas created the ultimate nigga/trigga/figga/bigga lyric by also including two dope cliches in "finger on the trigger" and "pockets get bigger". Full quote: "but just a nigga, walking with his finger on the trigger/make enough figures until my pockets get bigger." Another two of my favorites in the true art of -igga rhymes: "Just like a jiggalo but I'm much bigger though/I'm like a hitman, pullin' the trigger slow." -Big Daddy Kane "It's to my real ill niggas, heavyweight hitters/dough getters, fifty ways to make figures/my niggas that come on the spot to feel sisters/ like they hear real spitters and kids on the zigga-ziggas." -Rakim
