And if you heard that you will get where im coming from, its more jazz than funk. Some wonderful lines in there too. A Joyful noise was all about skunk funk etc etc and sounded really polished compared to the first album. >On the subject of rap/jazz fusion, did anyone else think Jazzamatazz 2 >wasn't nearly as good as the first one, or am I missing something? Oh that first one was superb, 'Trust me' track was great, although i probably prefere the Heavy Ryhme Experience, It was a bunch of rappers (Brand Nubians etc.) with Brand new heavies providing the backing tracks, worked a treat and although it wasnt jazz based, im sure it gave the Guru his idea for Jazzmatazz. >Why ignore the repeatedness? Cheers for the review, though. That's one thing >we'd differ on, I never need lyrics and if anything set them apart from >music as being a different thing altogether, save for perhaps the actual >sounds someone makes when they sing them. I look for music to hit me on an emotional level, and i just cant get that without lyrics.. I need the human interaction, i want to hear that pain in their voice :) And words are so inspiring, the number of times i have quoted a lyric in my head and its prompted me to do something is unbeleivable.. Few examples are: I was after a girl way back at school and i was beating around the bush (Scared of rejection) to ask her out.. I remember sitting round her mates house and Gloria Estefan was on this other girls stereo and the lyric 'Dont wanna be just your friend' came out, and fuck did it hit me, it was like 'YER! I dont wanna be just your friend..' 10 mins later i was going out with this girl, and the line i used was .."Look, i cant just be friends with you anymore..." wahey :) Another one is a 2 Live crew, theres a line that says 'Its hard to put a good man down, but its not hard to pick one up of the ground', everytime i see someone getting hassled (be it argument/fight whatever) i will step in even if it earns me enemies, because i hear this fucking lyric everytime.. Urm.. got sidetracked a bit there, oops ;) Basically, To sum it up.. If you put all 3 pins on the drone car, then it should go whether you hold down controller 1 or 2, thats the great thing about TCR's! I cant see the point of the drones, but there you go.. horses for courses i guess.. What you looking at?
