In '82 I heard the first rap music on Dutch radio (yes, I'm from
Holland). I loved it from the start, but it wasn't easy to hear or buy
tapes or records. You had to wait patience by the radio, hoping that
during a 2 hours R&B show or a Friday night mix show (from 02.00 till
03.00) one rap song was played. When i went to a record store, they
always had one or to records, in most cases I already had in my
collection.
My favourite in that days was Grandmaster Flash' Adventures on the
wheels of steel and I have to admit that it is one of the mp3's on my
flash player, I listen on my way to work.
So I have to admit that 21 years later, at the age of 38 (men I'm
getting old….) I still love hip hop.
