In my experience with younger blacks as well as whites (The #1 consumer), they listen to the same music that most normal people listen to, and have always listened to at that age. Contemporary popular music. Pop. Today, that happens to be contemporary R&B, rap and hip-hop in it's many forms. Gangsta' is only one of many forms of rap music. Rap is actually a broad spectrum of music that is as varied as the number of artists who create it. Believe it or not there are rap tunes that have absolutely nothing at all to do with the Gangsta' life style or braggadocia. And you're right. They don't listen to blues.
