May edition of UK Classic Rock magazine (Freddie Mercury cover) has
hilarious Wakey interview.
Among the nuggets
"...Jonathan Olias (sic) didn't know a hatchet from a crotchet."
"..Alan White keeps the fence painted so he can sit on it...if Alan sits on
the fence it's always 2 v 2 so there are no big rows." (splutter!!)
"Jon and I both [keep an eye on prog's movers and shakers] to a certain
extent" (in response to suggestions that the ProgFest travelling circus is
still under consideration by Jon & Rick).
He also recasts Alan in the Star Wars analogy as R2D2 rather than the
wookie. Perhaps since like the droid, Alan doesn't say very much and is very
much at the centre of the action!! Rick also retells the one about going
into an Yes chat-room and finding Jon and himself already in there, although
doesn'y offer any more precise details.
Quite an enjoyable read, probably the best Out There promo-stuff I've seen
to date.
