Pop up menus

Ok I see that it appears that I am limited to the use of 4 different font types in creating popups is this true?
If so what is the difference between that and a button, which will allow me to use almost any font?
Also if its an embedding thing then can a pop up menu be created using images or buttons from scratch?
Would it be better to create the pop up in say Flash MX and then import it into my site that way?
See the thing is I have created a header for my web site and have used a certian text for that which is not included in the pop up menu choices.
I would really like for my site to look uniform and show the same text font through out my site.
If I can convert the text/button to an image and use it for a custom pop then great other wise I think that my site will look silly using different fonts, and I want to use fonts other than the four in Fireworks MX.
