A lot of folks simply hookup one speaker(left or right only) and this is a good way for a producer in a hurry to miss that really awesome keyboard or guitar solo panned sharp to the opposite side. I've been to a lot of movie houses and performances where the "sound crew", for reasons of a shortage of inputs or of cables, hooked up only one side of their CD/cassette deck that they used for walk-in music. Ever hear Purple Haze on "Jimi's day off"? Or Bohemian Rhapsody "easy come, easy go, - - -, little low, any way the wind blows.." The least they could do is Y the L, R to mono! just an observation. -Chris
