We've had nearly two years of inductions into various categories of our Rec.Music.Rock-Pop-R&B.1960s Hall of Fame--the category rotating by season with Fall (Artists), Winter (Singles), and Spring (albums) categories solidified. The Summer vote is less settled. This year at least (as we decided on a few months ago), Summer is time to honor the Great Album Tracks of the decade. Recordings are eligible if they were included on 1960s albums but not also released as contemporary singles. - Recordings released as singles in 1970 off of 1969 albums (e.g., "Thank You Falettinme Be Mice Elf Agin") are NOT eligible. - Recordings released as singles much later (e.g., "Got To Get You Into My Life) ARE eligible. - Recordings released as singles in the US but not the UK (e.g., "Yesterday"), or in the UK but not the US, are NOT eligible. Everyone is invited to nominate up to seven (7) recordings. You can post your nominations here for discussion, but also send your list to me so I can count your contribution. All submission sent by midnight of the evening of June 14 will be considered. The 12 to 15 most mentioned recordings will be our final nominees. On June 15 we will begin the final vote, choosing the first seven Great Albums Tracks inducted into the Rec.Music.Rock-Pop-R&B.1960s Hall of Fame. As always, I hope you enjoy this as much as I expect to. Thanks. Bob Roman
