None of the stuff that you think of as "mod" has anything
to do with actual "mod" culture. The "mod" thing was a
relatively small blip on the UK counterculture during the
60s, the end. If you still care, do some research.

the music or culture of punk; instead of whining on a usenet
group that no-one will give you the secret password, you need to
get off your ass and start going to shows, listening to
music, and meeting people who are doing the same.

internet. People are laughing at you because you seem to
believe that by finding alt.punk, you have "found" punk.

Posting a bunch of pushy, uninformed questions to alt.punk
and then complaining that people are rude to you is like showing
up late for class with no homework, insisting that the teacher
call on you, and then throwing a temper tantrum when you get a
bad grade. Alt.punk should be where you go AFTER you have
started to "figure out" punk rock, not before.

doing. Here's another: get over the "mod" thing, get off the
internet, and start actually listening to punk rock music and
going to punk rock shows. Here are some bands to get you started:
