Left hand on Zep's Rock'n'Roll

I just saw a live version of Rock'n'Roll on the Zep DVD I'm currently
testing. I always knew that the intro was played with all eights on the
snare with left with the accented stuff etc. but now I noticed that
Bonham keeps playing eight notes almost all throughout with left on the
snare, 2 and 4 accented. Am I seeing this correctly. You can't really
hear the ghosted notes, so I'm a little bit in doubt.
