Hi guys
I have a baby girl due out in July.
I've been thinking what would be a good rock and roll song to sing to
her on guitar as my first performance. I don't want to perform kiddie
songs like my old lady wants, fuck that, I want it to be a rock and roll
song.
I've got a few ideas so far:
The Beatles -
I Feel Fine, Ticket To Ride, Help, Day Tripper, Drive My Car, Taxman,
And Your Bird Can Sing, Got To Get You Into My Life, Penny Lane (on
keyboards), I Am The Walrus (on keyboards), Hey Jude, Revolution
The Rolling Stones -
Not Fade Away, Route 66, The Last Time, 19th Nervous Breakdown, Jumping
Jack Flash, Gimmer Shelter, Let It Bleed, Wild Horses, It's Only Rock
and Roll, Beast of A Burden, Start Me Up
David Bowie -
Rebel Rebel
Pink Floyd -
Comfortably Numb, Wish You Were Here
Taj Mahal -
Leaving Trunk, Corinna
The Byrds -
Mr Tambourine Man, Turn Turn Turn, Mr Spaceman, Eight Miles High (with
all the guitar breaks!), Have You Seen Her Face?, The Girl With No Name,
Wasn't Born To Follow, Chestnut Mare
The Band -
To Kingdom Come, The Weight, I Shall Be Released, Up On Cripple Creek
CCR -
Fortunate Son, Lodi
Spinal Tap -
Gimme Some Money, Listen To The Flower People
The Who -
I Can't Explain, Anyway Anyhow Anywhere, Won't Get Fooled Again
John Lee Hooker -
Baby Lee
Jimi Hendrix -
Stone Free, Fire
The Temptations -
My Girl (I know it's corny, but it's a nice tune)
Any other suggestions?
Danny
