very nice riddim from the BIG Jeans camp.
i sort of stopped buying singles a few years back but i went to a friend's who
has a huge 7" collection yesterday and he played all the latest bashment
riddims.
i really noticed the important indian/arabic music influence (bagdad,hindu
storm, for instance) and the r& b influence (, Covers of the Snake, RKelly's
tune,20 cents, got to go, and that great forthcoming riddim by ward 21, 2 trax
on the latest Ragga Ragga Ragga).
sometimes those 2 influences overlap.
very good list of hc riddims but my real favorite is Time Travel , exceptional
riddim by lenky again, he lives in a different world, and has already gone
beyond the 2 previous influences : there are many different mixes to suit the
various moods of all his different artists. the DEgree tune is definetely
wicked, but many other artists are up to such standards ! check it fast if you
like original stuff !
can't wait until the Riddim DRiven album of the TT is released !
