If you rent the DVD and listen to the director's commentary, he will talk about this "haunting score" and what he had in mind even BEFORE the composer began to write. Do see the film. It is enchanting, and heart touching. A movie of such calibre is hardly made in this day and age. The range in this soundtrack is wonderful- the celtic music, the whistle/music box, the unexpected East Indian influence, and the fiddle band. But now you alread know that. Glad I could help introduce you to something that has brought pleasure. Both music and film continue to do so for me.
