[MLA-L] classifying books about celtic music

Dear folks,
I have a cataloging question for the Friday gathering of collective wisdom:
Following LC classification, where should one place "ML" books
about Celtic music? If we consider Celtic as national music, we
might place it at ML3650, for general works from the British Isles.
But more than one of the books in question describes Celtic music
as not only from Ireland, Scotland, England and Wales, but also
from areas of Spain as well as the Canadian Maritime Provinces.
And didn't the Celts migrate westward from Asia Minor?!
Would it be possible or acceptable to place Celtic music as a genre
of popular music and create a local class for it in ML3522, between
blues and country?
Any cataloging folks out there willing to weigh in?
Thanks,
Joe Tucker
