It really is a horrible representation of "music". I guess it depends upon one’s definition of music, although I’m in complete agreement with you. It’s a sad evolution of music which originates in the African-American community, when you consider they are also at the root of jazz, the blues, and rock and roll. >>> I love just about anything else (not opera either). I love show tunes, some country, Dave Matthews, John Mayer, Josh Groban, Norah Jones, Rolling Stones (I've loved their music since the 60's - would never go to a concert can't stand to look at them), all the classic rock and roll really, I really like Garth Brooks. I have to say I hate some movies today because of RAP music played in theaters with the movies so f***ing loud! Don’t like Dave Matthews. Never heard of John Mayer. Josh Groban is good ... once in a blue moon. I’ve never heard Norah Jones sing, but didn’t she just win five grammys? Rolling Stones I despise, and Mick Jagger has the same effect on me that Ipecac does. I don’t like Garth Brooks ... but a rare country song I do like is “The Devil Came Down To Georgia.” (I think that’s the name of it). --- Although, I would much prefer to listen to celtic music played on the fiddle. >>> I really love Jazz and Swing! Our son was in the jazz in high school and we just loved it!! Still do! They did good old classics and classic swing! I enjoy light jazz, and would *kill* to dance to swing. That music is the best.
