PA: 2003 Maui slack key workshop w/Kahumoku

George Kahumoku Jr is currently accepting registration for his
6th Annual Maui Slack Key Guitar & Hawaiian Culture Workshop 2003.
Instructors will include George Kahumoku Jr, Ozzie Kotani, Cyril
Pahinui, and Dennis Kamakahi.
Other guitarists & composers, will include Carlos Andrade, Kevin Brown,
and Danny Palakiko.
Guitar players will be limited to 44 to keep the classes at 11 students
each.
June 16-22 for the extended 7-Day Culture & Guitar Program -- $725
June 19-22 for his traditional 4-Day Guitar Program -- $475
Lower spouse/companion rates of $370 and $120 are available for the
7-day
and the 4-day program, depending on level of participation.
Cultural classes will include hula, chant & weaving, a day trip to
northern Maui;
Ukulele & beginning/refresher guitar instruction are offered for both
spouse/companions & guitar players.
Of course evening Kahumoku Dinners (famously delicious!) and nightly Jam
Sessions (backyard family style!) will top off each day.
