In the words of immortal bugs bunny, you don't know me very well, do you?
Here is a table of what I have. The entries are the decade, the number
of songs I have (as of Feb. 24, 2003, 9:55 PM PST), the estimated number
of total Hindi movie songs from Har Mandir's world-famous HFGK.
1931-40, 204, 9000
1941-50, 1180, 11000
1951-60, 2784, 10000
1961-70, 1805, 7000
1971-80, 532, 8000
Total, 6505, 45000
about 14%.
And, my collection is not at all unusual. I personally know more than
one person who has 10,000 or more songs in their collection. I also know
many people who have claimed to have 15-20,000 songs in their
collection. But when pressed for a list or details, they disappear or
stop corresponding.
Thanks, but no. I was only kidding about exchanging songs publicly like
that.
