This is not a classical Indian music concert so it is possible they did/do
something like that.
I have heard Zakir play the signature tune from the Pink Panther series,
at the "Jazz" concert of one of the groups he tours with - "Summit",
with George Brooks and Co.
For the most part even the original Shakti concerts were mostly about
high-octane pyrotechnics and not Ragadaari.
