The Association for India's Development invites
you to a unique weekend production featuring
professional Indian musicians and dancers from New
England and New York. Each night will be a different
showcase of talent and culture so please join us for
one, two or three nights!
at the Little Kresge Auditorium, MIT, Cambridge Friday, July 11 (7:30 PM) Saturday, July 12 (7:30 PM) Sunday, July 13 (6:00 PM)
Student tickets : $10 per day or $25 for all 3 days.
(Student ID required each day with ticket).
General admission: $15 per day or $35 for all 3 days.

Program Summary
===============
July 11th 2003: An Evening of Kathak
Kathak is a form of North Indian Classical dance
that thrived in the royal courts. The program features
the renowned troupe of Pt.Satyanarayan Charka in dance
sequences that feature stories from ancient Indian
epics such as Ramayana and Krishna-Leela.
July 12th 2003: Hindustani & Carnatic Melodies
Renowned artists from the New England area - Swati Panda,
Pradeep Shukla, Geeta Murali, Nitin Mitta, Durga Krishnan
& Tara Anand perform in a vocal-instrumental medley
that showcases the best traditions of Hindustani and
Carnatic classical music.
July 13th 2003: A Taste of Indian Classical Dances
Watch the elegant expressions, and beautiful costumes
of dancers Pallabi Sanyal, Aparna Keshaviah, Juhi
Pande, and Ananya Mukhopadyaya performing the ancient dance
forms of Bharatanatyam, Kuchipudi and Odissi.
All proceeds from this concert will be used to support
holistic and sustainable grassroots developmental
projects in India.
