And if this sample has not thoroughly put you off, you might consider music of a different, higher order :-) Arun, tere taste ko ye kya ho gaya? First, you had to have Anuradha over Lata, now this! Anyway, Jason, what Arun has listed is just recent music (that I have largely not heard), but that is probably in the same class as the music that you first enjoyed. Many Indian music lovers prefer music of a slightly older era (anything from the 1940s to 1970s). I can recommend indianscreen.com as a site where you can sample a wide variety of music from an older era. musicindiaonline.com will provide a different mix of music. Once your appetite has been whetted, you can plunge right in - there is a lot here. and if you want to be more snobbish, you can go to the more esoteric world of Indian classical music (rec.music.indian.classical) and enjoy the music of the country.
