Toronto lurkers: there good latin music spilling out onto the streets and parks again this summer. Don't miss it just cause the media doesn't say much about it. Harbourfront no longer features the Ritmo Y Color Festival, but still quite a bit of good Latin... and other music. http://www.harbourfront.on.ca some other stuff: June 13 - 14, 2003 Taste of Little Italy College St, Euclid to Shaw (italians like it too) 7:00 pm to 11:00 pm 766 College (Library) PUENTE DEL DIABLO 537 College (El Bodegón) SONIDO CUBANO 641 College (Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce) JORGE MIGUEL 725 College (Dominion Parking Lot) CONCACHE, cuban tourist board 596 College (Tempo) EDUARDO LIS - THE SAUCE +others Alberto Alberto y Quimica Perfecta: JUne 14 9:30 p.m. Spontaneous and creative Cuban singer Alberto Alberto follows the roots of contemporary Cuban music and combines them with Carribean rhythms like reggae and cumbia. Here he performs with his electrifying 8 piece group Quimica Perfecta. Harbourfront Center Don't overlook Cassava, as I did before I knew anything about them. Half of Quimica Perfecta is also in this band now, plus Dianelys Hernandez, cuban vocalist who I've only seen with Hot Handle, who is a singing and dancing knockout.
