This song has nothing to do with devil worshipping.
In fact, quite the opposite. This song has created different meanings
to different individuals (as well as the word "colita"), see, for
example,

This song has a special appeal to me because it questions the
programmed nature of existence, as symbolized by the hotel california.
It is the spirit of the whole song, not just one word here and there.
