Saw it yesterday night, Not bad but could have been much better. Its a feel good funny story about a small gavn ka innocent chokra, palakad brahmin cook, MAdhavan landing up in Australia as a illegal immigrant and his travails there. First disappointment, then luckily finds a Tamilzh couple there with a spastic child who run a restaurant and give him a job. Then the story revolves around how he evades the Australian immigration officials(who r portrayed as not all that intelligent here!), has a marriage of convenience with a girl (she plays a Lankan tamil, settled in Australia ) there, who has already a lover and what happens after that is the story. Mauli has directed it, script is KAmal's and it is never his forte. Has a decent amount of humour but could have been more funny if done carefully. Madhavan has done a good job, does his best. A new heroine (Geetu Mohandas) with the ol Madhavi like Eyes has also done a decent job. There is a very nice melodious song Enna idu, Enna idu The piano intro and the flute interludes are nice, overall a nice song.the female voice, Chinmayee is excellent. Also KamalHassan has sung a song in English, check it out http://www.tamiltune.com/MJ/songs.php?TypeId=10&Id=330 The first song there is the enna idu and the third one is the english one, it should actually be STranded on the streets. Here is the review of The Hindu, overboard, I dont agree with her assesment fully but the movie is a def one time watch, time pass. I would say its akin to watching a Stage humour play. one time dekho def.
