Rock music is far more able to reach out to young people than dance music is, because like the 60's and 70's songs were mostly lyrics about anti-war feelings and protest for peace etc. This genre died out in the late 80's early 90's and bands just began to sing lovey dovey songs or angry screaming lyrics about relationships. However, now we have a happy medium, with people focusing on the situation in Iraq and so on, we are beginning to learn lessons about war and the importance of music and things like Band Aid Concerts to help raise money for good causes helping poorer communities and striving for peace. Therefore whatever happens in the world good or bad, we can always count on music to lift our spirits in times of hardship and to help others worldwide. Music is a Universal Language!!
